Welcome to Herron Pediatrics. Dr. Merinda Herron has been dedicated to serving the health care needs of children for over 25 years.
Since 1996, Dr. Herron has worked tirelessly to support the pediatric needs of Atlanta's inner city community, and she proudly opened Herron Pediatrics in Midtown Atlanta in the fall of 2004. Dr. Herron is committed to providing the best pediatric care to Atlanta's children, and her convenient Midtown location allows her to reach more of the city's patients.
Before Dr. Herron began serving the Atlanta community in 1996, she worked as a primary care provider in the Greater Washington, D.C. area for nearly 15 years. Dr. Herron began her medical career as the sole staff pediatrician and a member of the HIV Task Force Committee at the South Baltimore Family Health Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Herron completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She received her M.D. at Columbia University after earning her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Herron was licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia from 1980-1996 and has been licensed in the state of Georgia since 1996. She is a fellow in the
American Academy of Pediatrics
and is on staff at
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite
